Instruction

I take great pleasure in the variety of courses I offer glass enthusiasts. My students range from beginners who have never lifted a glass cutter or a brush to professionals seeking to hone their present skills and advance to new levels and challenges. I teach by invitation all over the country at trade shows, schools, retail stores and studios that invite me to teach their customers. I also schedule classes in my own private studio.

The following are examples of classes I offer. If there are other subjects you are interested in learning or presenting, please write and we can plan classes to suit your needs.

Wire Wrapping Jewelry

Most of the jewelry currently shown in my gallery are dichroic glass cabochons wrapped in sterling silver or 14K gold-filled wire. This class teaches you how to make these beautiful pieces. The wrap that I teach is the basic wrap used not only for pendants, but also for bracelets, neck wires, earrings, etc. Each student leaves class wearing the original pendant he or she makes, together with the knowledge of how to make more. These classes are usually taught on a private basis in my studio. I am also available to travel to other facilities or to your home to teach this class. Please contact me directly to make arrangements.

At the current time, I am limiting my instruction to several trade shows and conferences across the country. I will be teaching at the Glass Craft and Bead Expo in Las Vegas, NV, (www.glasscraftexpo.com) the Bead & Button Show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (www.beadandbuttonshow.com)and the Lapidary Journal Beadfest show in the Philadelphia, PA area (www.lapidaryjournal.com). Please consult those websites for actual times and dates. I look forward to having you in class!
